It does charge the phone, but the cord, once extended, will not retract. Which sort of defeats the purpose.

Battery charge indicator would cycle off and on continuously every second or so. Other car chargers worked fine... ie. the battery charge indicator stayed on continuously while plugged in as expected. Would not recommend this product. Lexus/Droid Incredible.
Failed to charge August 29, 2010

This HTC Incredible charger from Motorola did not work reliably at all. I plugged my phone in in the car, and after a few minutes noticed that it stopped charging my phone. Fiddled around with the plug, the cord, etc. - got it to work again... again for only a few minutes. Repeat. Obviously this is not a feasible mode of operation when you're driving a car and, for example, using your phone for navigation. It's not even worth the postage to return it.
I then went and bought a (notably much more expensive) car charger from a Verizon store. Would have loved the convenience of a retractable cord, but the Motorola charger totally failed me.

it works well, very convenient,. its pretty great not having to deal with the coiled cords. its light, travels well, and the retractable cord ensure no tangles. i love this charger and take it everywhere with me!

Purchased this charger for use with a HTC Droid Incredible in an '05 Honda Accord. The charger was completely non-functional in both 12V ports in the vehicle. Power indicator on charger did not illuminate.
The charger feels and looks cheaply made.
It's too bad this seems to be a piece of junk, it's very small profile, which could be very nice.
